Custom Aircraft Instrument Panels
Start with design and rendering
Every panel project begins with a conversation about your mission: VFR weekend flying, serious IFR, or a backcountry airplane that needs a simple, rugged layout. From there we design the layout and produce a rendering, so you can see placement, sizing and ergonomics and make changes before anything is built. Moving an instrument on a rendering costs nothing; moving it after the panel is cut costs a lot more.
Built in-house and with key partners
Panels are built in our shop at Gastonia Municipal Airport (KAKH) and with trusted partners when a project calls for it. Either way, we manage the project from design through installation.
Equipment we commonly integrate
Panel projects often combine several of the products we work with:
-
Dynon avionics and Dynon autopilots
-
Garmin G5 and GI 275 installation, including GI 275 EIS
-
uAvionix and transponder-based ADS-B Out
-
Electronics International (EI) engine monitors (we are an EI dealer)
-
Stratus by Appareo products
See Avionics Installation & Troubleshooting and Engine Monitors, Electronic Ignition & Magnetos for details on each.
Aircraft we work on
Panel work for Piper, Mooney, Cessna, Maule, CubCrafters and Socata TB9, TB20 and TB21 aircraft makes up much of our work. Ask us about your airframe.
Planning around downtime
A panel upgrade takes the aircraft out of service, so many owners time it with their annual or 100-hour inspection. If you're shopping for an airplane with a panel upgrade in mind, a pre-buy inspection can tell you what you're starting with.

Call (803) 220-4251, Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–4:30 pm, to schedule a design conversation. Send us photos of your current panel and a wish list, and we'll take it from there. We serve owners throughout Gastonia, Charlotte and the surrounding Carolinas.
