Aircraft Oil Change & Oil Analysis in Gastonia, NC
An oil change is the simplest maintenance your engine gets, and one of the most informative if it's done right. At Aero Professionals, every aircraft oil and filter change includes an oil analysis sample taken during the change. That turns a routine service into an early-warning system for your engine.
What's included
-
Draining the old oil and replacing the filter
-
An oil analysis sample taken during the oil change
-
Refilling with oil appropriate for your engine
-
A look around the engine compartment while the cowling is off
Why oil analysis matters
Oil carries tiny amounts of wear metals and contaminants from inside the engine. A lab analysis measures those levels, and over several oil changes you build a trend for your engine. A sudden change in a particular metal can point to a developing issue well before it becomes a failure on the ramp, or in flight. The value is in the trend, which is why we take a sample at every change rather than once in a while.
Combine with other work
An oil change is a natural time to address other items while the cowling is open. Owners often pair it with an engine monitor or electronic ignition upgrade. An EI engine monitor's live data and oil analysis trends complement each other well. If your inspection is coming due, schedule the oil change with your annual or 100-hour inspection.
