Aircraft Pre-Buy Inspections near Charlotte, NC
Buying an airplane is a big decision, and the listing photos only tell part of the story. A pre-buy (pre-purchase) inspection from Aero Professionals gives you an independent look at the aircraft's condition and records before you sign, so you can negotiate with real information or walk away with confidence.
What a pre-buy inspection covers
Every purchase is different, so we agree on the scope with you before we start. A typical pre-buy includes:
-
Records review: airframe, engine and propeller logbooks, Airworthiness Directive compliance, major repairs and alterations, and gaps or inconsistencies in the history.
-
Airframe and engine condition: a hands-on look at corrosion, structure, controls, landing gear, the engine and its accessories.
-
Avionics and electrical: whether the installed equipment works, and whether the panel and wiring match the paperwork.
-
A clear written summary of what we found, separated into airworthiness items and things that simply cost money down the road.
Aircraft we know
We work most often on Piper, Mooney, Cessna, Maule and CubCrafters aircraft, plus the Socata TB9, TB20 and TB21. Familiarity with the type helps us know where to look.
Independent eyes matter
For the most objective result, the pre-buy should be done by a shop that hasn't maintained the aircraft for the seller. If we've worked on the airplane before, we'll tell you up front.
After the purchase
Once the airplane is yours, we can help you plan what comes next: an annual or 100-hour inspection, avionics upgrades such as Garmin G5 or GI 275 installation, an engine monitor, or a custom instrument panel designed around how you fly.
Where we do pre-buys
